MIND EATER

Since 2024, I’ve been initiating and curating the annual performance festival Mind Eater together with my friend Runa Borch Skolseg. The festival is now moving towards its 4th iteration, and while we insist on operating within a somewhat porous configuration, continually trying to evade the disciplining measures of institutional structures, we aim for the festival to exist for many years ahead.

A few word about Mind Eater

Mind Eater is an artist-run, parasitic festival largely dedicated to emerging artists, critical thinkers and performative practices. Queer in nature, the festival features a two-part program: A public performance program comprising interdisciplinary artists working across experimental performative formats, and a discursive program including lectures, workshops, talks and screenings by theorists, critics, and artists. Each August, Mind Eater inhabits shifting venues across Oslo over the course of four days.

Founded in 2024 by Runa Borch Skolseg and Louis Schou-Hansen, Mind Eater emerged as a reaction against the marketisation and generic treatment of performance often observed within large-scale institutions.

Since it’s inception the festival has hosted works, workshops and other contributions by Ewa Dziarnowska, Ivan Cheng, Luisa Fernanda Alfonso, Peter Rubel, Nikhil Vettukatil, Odete, Star Finch, Canilla/Axel Barratt-Due, Selin Davasse, Eve Stainton, Henrike Kohpeiß, Maxi Wallenhorst, Marga Alfeirao, Nikolaj Schultz, Porøse Kunstmøter, Marie Ursin, Nicholas Grafia, Samira Ghoualmia, Ellen Söderhult, Lisa Laurent, Bryana Fritz, Thibault Lac & Hamid Waheed.
